Dr Olena Gasenko

Embryologist

Dr Olena Gasenko, age 52, with 30 years’ experience, graduated at the Faculty of Biology (genetics department) of the National Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv and specialised as a biologist and geneticist.

Courses taken:

  • Enhanced course “Laboratory support of the ART in the treatment of infertility”, at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education;
  • Specialist certificate in “Lab-based genetics” at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Professional experience:

  • 2018 to present: biologist (embryologist) at the “Madre e figlio” medical centre;
  • 2015 to 2018, IVMED medical centre (“Rodynne dzherelo”). Biologist-geneticist (embryologist). 1995 to 2015, Institute of Reproductive Medicine . (Laboratorio Dakhno, Ltd). Embryologist-geneticist;
  • 1992 to 1995, Republican centre for science and hygiene. In vitro fertilisation (IVF) lab. Senior lab assistant in higher education.

Key skills:

  • Practical expertise in IVF, ICSI (since 1995), TESE, vitrification and defrosting of embryos and oocytes, cryopreservation of sperm, assisted hatching (mechanical and laser), embryo biopsy (blastomer and trophectoderm);
  • Over 15,000 ICSI cycles carried out;
  • Experience with various mediums (manufacturers include Global, Vitrolife, Irvine and others);
  • Management of protocols and medical records in the “Dr Eleks” programme;
  • Experience in the use of equipment from leading global manufacturers (including Narishige, Eppendorf micromanipulators, incubation plates).

Birol Aydin è un biologo, embriologo clinico di primo livello e capo del laboratorio di embriologia dell’IVMED. Membro certificato di ESHRE Birol, si è laureato presso la Mustafa Kemal University of Science nel dipartimento di biologia.


Con oltre 12 anni alle spalle di esperienza lavorativa in embriologia e andrologia, Birol Aydin ha esercitato la professione in 12 diverse nazioni tra cui, Australia, Svezia, Finlandia, Turchia, Serbia, Macedonia, Ucraina, Estonia, Georgia, Cipro, Albania, etc.


Il suo lavoro quotidiano si traduce in un gran numero di cicli di fecondazione in vitro. Ha una vasta esperienza presso i centri di fecondazione assistita come ICSI/ET da materiale fresco e congelato. (Ha condotto più di 3000 cicli)


Ampia è anche l’esperienza maturata nei centri di fecondazione in vitro in PGS e PGD. (Più di 5.000 cicli) e nei centri di fecondazione in vitro in eterologa. (Più di 3.000 cicli)


Molto apprezzato per la sua competenza ed estremamente qualificato nel ruolo di consulente tecnico, Birol Aydin è in grado di assistere i pazienti a 360°, relativamente a tutti i protocolli necessari alla gestione tecnica di una clinica per l’infertilità, garantendo standard qualitativi elevati.

Dr Birol Aydin

Birol Aydin is a biologist, consultant embryologist and head of the IVMED embryology lab. A certified member of ESHRE, Birol graduated at the biology department of Mustafa Kemal University of Science.


With over 12 years of experience in embryology and andrology, Birol Aydin has worked in a number of countries including Australia, Sweden, Finland, Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Estonia, Georgia, Cyprus and Albania.


His day-to-day work involves a large number of in vitro fertilisation cycles. He has wide experience at centres of assisted reproduction performing ICSI/ET using fresh and frozen inputs. (Over 3,000 cycles completed)


He also has wide experience in in vitro fertilisation with PGS and PGD. (Over 5,000 cycles) and in heterologous in vitro fertilisation. (Over 3,000 cycles).


Highly esteemed for his expertise and highly qualified in the role of technical consultant, Birol Aydin provides 360-degree support for patients, covering all the necessary procedures for the technical management of an infertility clinic, and guaranteeing extremely high quality standards.
